Linda Gerace – Principal Designer, Interior Designs Atelier

Linda Gerace began her interior design career after graduating from Russell Sage College in 1991, interning at Nelick’s Furniture in Troy, NY, where she quickly transitioned to a full-time role. She continued to refine her expertise at Knickerbocker Furniture and then spent 18 years at Stickley Furniture, building a high-end client base and expanding her practice into renovations and new construction.

In 2012, Linda relocated to Minneapolis, MN, immersing herself in the city’s vibrant design community and working part-time at Studio M Interiors, in Plymouth, MN.  Through ASID and local builder collaborations, she earned multiple awards while establishing LGS Interior Designs, serving both her New York and Minnesota clients.

Returning to the Capital District, Linda’s business grew rapidly, leading to the founding of Interior Designs Atelier (IDA), a studio model supporting independent designers with shared resources, back-office services, and industry discounts. While IDA fosters collaboration, its primary growth is fueled by Linda’s direct clientele, with a focus on luxury residential projects.

Her signature approach blends timeless materials, meticulous craftsmanship, and client-centered design. Linda has promoted her work through Saratoga Living magazine and a designer’s supplement for Architectural Digest. Her vision is to position IDA as the premier design firm for luxury clients in the region while mentoring a team of designers to expand the studio’s capabilities
